1 thought on “How to reset Fitbit Versa”

  1. This is my second Versa 2. The MTBF (mean-time-between-failure) for the first watch was approx. 1 year. The second Versa 2 failed after approx. 8 months of use. The first watch’s battery got very hot during the night and woke me up. The screen was very bright and I could not turn it off. It actually burned my wrist. It eventually went black screen and that was it forever. I contacted Fetbit customer service and they sent me a new watch after I sent them the old and failed Versa 2 back. The second unit worked fine for 8 months and then clock screen became locked in place. I installed another clock screen display and it worked OK for a couple of days but then it locked on the screen again, started having white line flashes, then white screens, and now it is black. I have tried all the suggested fixes with no success. Ever thing works OK in the back ground and syncs the data to my phone. But now just a bracket with a black screen. Contacted customer service and they offered a discount on a new unit. To be honest I am not sure I would buy anything from Google or Fitbit again. They have known there are issues with these watches for years and have completely ignored the firmware/hardware problems and customers. FYI, the issues is so wide spread that you can buy replacement screens from China on Amazon and eBay. Would appreciate any feedback from other Fitbit customer who might have similar concerns with these watches. Also, Fitbit is welcome to contact me.
